COVID Vaccine Update

Vermonters aged 70 and older are being vaccinated

The COVID-19 vaccination program is moving along in Vermont. The second age group, people age 70 and older, are currently eligible for the vaccine. To schedule your vaccination, you need to visit the Vermont Department of Health website. There are only two steps to scheduling your vaccination: “create your account” and “make an appointment”.

From the DOH website, you can follow the link to create your account. This takes only a few minutes and asks for your basic contact information. After you set up your account, you can opt to schedule your vaccination.

You can set up your account at any time!
Do this now and you will be ready to schedule your vaccination appointment when your age group is eligible.

If you have trouble using the online platform, you can reach the call center at 855-722-7878.

The next age group will be Vermonters age 65 and over. It is estimated that this group will be allowed to schedule their vaccinations in early March. If you are in this age group, get ready and set up your account now.

Travel restrictions eased for those who have been vaccinated

Yesterday, Gov Scott lifted quarantine requirements for travelers who are at least 14 days past their second dose of the vaccine. This applies both to Vermonters who return from traveling out of state and to visitors from out of state.

Despite the increase in people being vaccinated and the easing of travel restrictions, it is still important to maintain safe practices.
