State of Emergency
On Monday, Gov Scott amended and restated Executive Order 01-20 to extend the state of emergency through July 15. The number of COVID-19 cases in Vermont remains low despite an outbreak in the Williston/Burlington area. But as restrictions in neighboring states begin to ease, more travelers will be coming into Vermont. It is important that we remain vigilant and practice recommended safety protocols such as wearing masks, washing hands and keeping a safe distance from other people.
Guidance for Vermonters traveling out of state and for non-Vermonters traveling into the state is available on the Agency of Commerce and Community Development website. ACCD provides a map of active cases by county in Vermont and neighboring states. You can find additional details about isolation and quarantine requirements for travelers on the Department of Health website.
If you recently entered or returned to Vermont, you can sign up for the Sara Alert. This a survey that sends you reminders to check for COVID symptoms and allows for quick access to the Department of Health if you should develop symptoms.
Vermonters should be proud of the work they have done to contain the virus. But it’s important to continue to Be Smart and Stay Safe.
