COVID Restrictions Lifted

80% of Eligible Vermonters Vaccinated

Yesterday, Gov Scott announced he is lifting the remaining COVID pandemic restrictions. Vermont is the first state in the nation to reach the milestone of 80% vaccination rate, which means that most Vermonters are protected from the virus and spread of the virus is limited. It is safe for most Vermonters to return to their usual activities.

It’s important to keep in mind, however, that some people are not vaccinated and the virus is still with us. “There is still a lot at stake for many Vermonters, especially those who cannot be vaccinated… this is a responsibility we will all continue to share, to protect them from this virus,” said Health Commissioner, Dr Mark Levine. “To anyone who has chosen to not get vaccinated, I ask you once again ask you to reconsider, for your health and those you love.”

Visit the Vermont Department of Health website to find out where to get the vaccine.

The State of Emergency, which has been in place since March 2020 and expires tonight, will not be renewed
