Stay Home, Stay Safe is working
On Friday, April 10, Gov Scott extended the Stay Home, Stay Safe order until May 15. You can read Addendum 9 to Executive Order 01-20 here. It also contains provisions for the reopening of lodging establishments, the extension of motor vehicle inspection deadlines and several additional items.
We are flattening the curve
Modeling shows that without the mitigation measures that are in place, COVID-19 would be having a much more devastating effect in terms of numbers of deaths and would be threatening to overwhelm our health care capabilities.
The Governor’s order is based on the latest scientific data indicating that, while we are slowing the spread of the virus, we have not yet reached the peak of the curve. We must continue to Stay Home and Stay Safe.
