Walk-in Vaccine Clinics This Weekend

Reaching the 80% Goal

Vermont will be hosting a number of walk-in vaccine clinics this weekend as we try to reach the goal of having 80% of the eligible population vaccinated. When that happens, Gov Scott will lift COVID restrictions according to the Vermont Forward Plan. As of June 10, fewer than 1400 people remain to get vaccinated in order to reach that goal.

Vaccine Rates by Town

The Vermont Department of Health publishes a map of vaccine rates by town. This map shows Peacham as being in the 41-50% category, which seems low. However, the rates can be misleading in a small town like Peacham, since many vaccinated people are located by their mailing address and that does not always indicate town of residence. In any case, we urge everyone who still needs a vaccination to take advantage of a walk-in clinic or make an appointment by visiting the Dept of Health website.
